The CAF application is an on-premises Java web-based application which utilizes the IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) as its integration middleware and runs on a Microsoft Windows server. Required Skills: 5+ years of IT experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) installation, configuration, deployment, administration, and production support on Windows Server environments with different versions of WAS. Proven experience in upgrading WAS environments to version 8.5/9.0 running on Windows 2019 and above. Hands-on involvement in creating & configuring profiles, clusters, nodes, node agents for WAS. Implemented Work-Load-Management using clustering and created clusters and instances in WebSphere Network Deployment to support high availability, fail over. Configured WebSphere Resources like JDBC Providers and JMS Providers. Worked with Global Security, SSL, and LDAP. Experience in tuning, security, backup, recovery, and upgrades of WAS 8.5/9.0 on Windows Server 2019 and above. Experience in troubleshooting, applying patches and plug-in for WAS 8.5/9.0. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and present technical information to technical and managerial staff. Ability to work in an iterative, collaborative manner. Experience working with county, city, or state government agencies is preferred. Contractors Duties: Contractor will be required to upgrade the CAF Java web-based application test/dev and production technical environments. This upgrade will mainly consist of upgrading the following three technical components, and many include other additional work as needed: 1. Java version 7 to version 8 2.
