The Information Security Services Branch (ISSB) is looking for an enthusiastic Security Architect that will bring expert level lead and technical support to the DMV. Under the direction of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the Information Technology (IT) Specialist II will be a member of a dynamic team that is responsible for protecting DMV information assets. This position will support the design, development of security guidelines, system security access strategies, security standards, principals, and procedures. The incumbent produces high-level security frameworks and designs as well as participates as a project member representing the CISO on DMVs most complex IT projects. The incumbent shall have cross-competencies, must be able to offer guidance, and advise the CISO. This position requires exercising a high degree of imitative and independence, demonstrating tact, and good judgement. Desirable Qualifications: A cybersecurity degree (bachelor) or equivalent work experience. Security industry certification e.g. (ISSAP, CISM, CISSP). Compliance knowledge of NIST-800-53, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FIPS-199, and Privacy. Understanding of security protocols, authentication, and authorization. Understanding of emergency management principles. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of project management methodologies and state contract management practices.
