Position : SQL DBA L4 12+ years Experience Location: - Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid) (local only) Type of hire: Contract Job Description: Mandatory Skill: Expectations for this role: Good understand of MSSQL architecture and internals Strong with basics Expert in performance tuning and query optimization have good experience working on large databases (5TB 20 TB) Good experience in HA/DR solutions like Always ON, Replication and clustering Good knowledge and experience in TSQL scripting Automation experience with Power / TSQL / Python. SQL Server development background will be an added advantage Minimum 12+ years Experience At least 5+ years of SQL DBA experience covering implementation, production support and project work. At least 4+ years of exposure as L3/SME support role. Knowledge and Understanding of ITIL process In client facing role(s) for at least 3 years. On call support for at least 3 years. Excellent Documentations skills in MS SharePoint 2010 /2013, Confluence. Mandatory skills - SQL Server administration required skills Knowledge on AWS Cloud services like RDS, S3, Redshift etc MySQL/Postgres SQL knowledge / experience. Linux Knowledge. Experience with Azure Experience with Snow Flake Experience in PowerBI Certifications Desired MS certifications on MSSQL latest versions or AWS/Azure Responsibility : Ability to think about a problem, identify what we have and implement solutions to solve the problem independently Work with onsite client team / Application owners in US / UK to Migrate Applications, Database building and Decommissioning Ability to take lead on some projects and works as part of a team (follow another leader on others) Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to think in and out of the box. Come up with service improvement ideas and innovative solutions. Self-motivated, conscientious, dedicated individual who works equally well independently or as a member of a team Must be willing to take responsibility and ownership instead of waiting to be assigned work The candidate must be willing to provide On-call and weekend support for SQL and MYSQL, the support is rotated among DBA's in US and India Enable and support the team in resolving day-to-day production issues, application upgrades and patches, performance analysis, disaster recovery implementation, capacity planning and other activities as may be necessary.
