Role : Sr. Network DevOps Automation Engineer Location : Hybrid 2-3 days onsite supporting a client in the Marrietta, Smyrna, Kennesaw GA Duration : 6+ Months MOI : Phone/Skype Visa : USC Only Must have CCNA, or CCNP or CCIE with Cisco networking (Route /Switch )experience , and AWS cloud deployment of network infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible , Python and SDN in the resume to qualify. ACI experience is not required . They will train a highly qualified candidate in ACI. Must have Consultant level image and communications skills. They want someone that can bond with senior level IT execs and win new business. Will consider candidates that will relocate for day on start. Position Summary : As a Network Automation Programming Expert, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and other relevant technologies. Your expertise will be crucial in streamlining network operations, managing standard network gear, and optimizing Cisco ACI deployments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our customers' network architectures. You will be assigned to a customer on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities: Designs and develops fully autonomous ci/cd pipelines which facilitate the network automation for customers Python, Ansible, and Terraform to automate network configuration, provisioning, and management tasks Collaborate with customer network engineering teams to gather requirements and design automation solutions that align with business objectives and operational needs. Implement network automation for standard network gear, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to enhance network efficiency, reliability, and security. Design, implement, and maintain network automation solutions specifically tailored for Cisco ACI environments, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network automation scripts, tools, and deployments in a timely manner. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in network automation and software defined networking (SDN). Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network automation solutions with overall infrastructure and systems. Create documentation, including technical guides and procedures, to ensure knowledge transfer and assist in training customer team members on automation processes. Qualifications: Experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) and its automation aspects. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. Previous experience in networking, IT, or other related fields Proven experience in network automation, programming, and scripting using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and other relevant tools. In-depth understanding of standard network protocols, devices, and configurations. Familiarity with researching communication networks Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills Strong attention to detail Familiarity with version control systems such as Git for managing codebase. Strong knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network automation issues. Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams effectively. Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) and other relevant certifications are a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and keeping up-to-date with industry trends.
