[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] TITLE: Technical Project Manager TYPE: Contract LENGTH: 12 months Location: Hybrid role in Lakewood, CO VISA: USC or GC End Client: Job Description: Looking for a contract technical project manager to manage the transition from an on-premise data environment to a cloud-native data environment. This includes sourcing data from applications, building out a data warehouse, transitioning existing data warehouse data, and delivering data products to our users. This project is included in the portfolio of projects and will also require skills for change management and communication. The project has been moving forward successfully for approximately 8 months; this contract is for approximately 12 additional months through to completion. Required skills and experience include: General Project Management Experience: 5-10 years of experience in project management, ideally with a PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification. Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects. Experience managing Agile projects including acting in the SCRUM master role Technical Project Management: Solid technical background including familiarity with data warehousing concepts, cloud platforms, data transformation tools (like dbt), and data visualization tools (Power BI). Cloud Expertise: Experience with cloud services and infrastructure, as well as knowledge of best practices for cloud-based data solutions. Data Management Knowledge: Well-versed in data management principles, including data governance, data quality, data security, and compliance. Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts is crucial. Experience with Snowflake: Prior experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud-based data warehousing platform. Familiarity with ETL and Data Transformation Skills**: Including processes and tools like Apache Airflow and dbt is essential for managing the data migration and transformation aspects of the project. Dashboard and Reporting Tools Knowledge of data visualization tools is important, as they will be overseeing the development of dashboards for end users.
