Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer with GCP Job ID: VZGTJP00049035 Job Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months Contract JOB DESCRIPTION: The Cybersecurity Platform Cloud Security team is looking for an experienced and high performing Cloud Security Automation Engineer. You will work closely with our Business and technical stakeholders to ensure the successful onboarding of public sector applications and secure build of cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, developing,automating, implementing and maintaining security controls and IAM solutions to ensure compliance with company security standards and Industry regulations. The engineer is expected to handle Security operations tasks on a daily basis and work with cross functional teams, SMEs as needed to resolve outstanding issues and remove blockers. Automating cloud native, hybrid, or multi cloud solutions to meet the clients needs. Engage with technical stakeholders of the client and third parties to understand how their systems work. Collaborating with other Security and cross functional teams to implement solutions across various lines of business. Will be responsible for accurate communication of the status of ongoing work to stakeholders, including project management and senior managers. Documenting and creating playbooks for administrative/support actions to be used by Production Support. MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important): Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of development and cloud work experience. Handson experience in AWS and GCP working on large scale production workloads/projects. Security Policy Assessment & Development Experience Experience in Software development, and implementation experience. Experience in GCP and AWS IAM and other APIs Experience in creating automated processes using well known languages and frameworks (e.g. Python, Java, YML, Json, Ansible, Jenkins pipeline). Experience with web development technologies like Djano, React or Ansible Experience in core AWS/GCP Services (e.g., IAM, Service Accounts/Roles & Keys, Encryption Keys, Object Storage, Logging, Monitoring, Serverless Functions). Even better if you have one or more of the following: GCP certified associate architect and/or AWS Certified Associate Solutions Architect. Exposure to networking elements like VPC, Firewall Rules, Subnets, and Availability Zone. Exposure to application Migration and hybrid cloud environments. Solid experience with Data Migration and Backup Solutions. Handson experience of IAC tools like CloudFormation/Terraform, with proficiency in automation using Python, Boto3, Unix , and other scripting languages Python and Jenkins to automate the build, test, package & deployment of function(s) & configuration. Experience with modern source control repositories (e.g., Git). CI/CD expertise with DevOps toolsets (Jenkins / Ansible). Experience with Jenkins pipelines, Jenkins job creations, and configuration. Proficient in writing Ansible Playbooks for configuring the cloud environment and deploying middleware and application packages. Experience with web development technologies like Djano, React or Ansible Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Migrating Complex projects from On-Prem to Cloud which includes Web/Apps tiers as well as database transformation. Implemented Enterprise Security remediation process in Cloud. Experience with technical troubleshooting as well as partnering with vendors and other organizations to drive root cause analysis and solve complex technical problems. Understanding of networking (e.g., DNS services, TCP, load balancers, routing, firewalls) to be leveraged for designs and troubleshooting. Experience with security best practices and use of firewalls, encryption, incident response, encryption at REST & InTransit Encryption, SSL Cert configuration at the Load balancer or server level. Experience with SQL tables, queries, procedures, and functions.
