Role: - Network/security engineer with Fortinet Location: - Brooklyn, NY Job Type: - Long Term USC only Job Description must be able to work in a cross-functional environment and interact with representatives from Entelligence, Fortinet, and the end-user. The Sr. Consultant will function as the Fortinet products Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will interact directly with the customer's personnel. The Sr. Consultant will serve as the technical expert on executive-level project teams within the customer providing technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives. The Sr. Consultant contributes to the development of new principles and concepts, works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting client staff with day-to-day Fortinet products operation/support Development of methods of procedure (MOPs) for migrations, upgrades and updates Development of test plans and test new features and/or releases Verifying configurations and implementing best practices Performing interoperability evaluation of devices that interact with Fortinet products Training and knowledge transfer to client staf Develop and maintain core competency on Fortinets product line and technologies Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion JOB REQUIREMENTS: Experience in LAN/WAN /Internet consulting, support and/or administration Experience with Network Security Products Experience with Fortinet products Experience working as a Professional Services Consultant/ Engineer a plus Solid understanding of security and networking principals and technologies such as: o Network Security Infrastructure Switching, Routing, Load Balancing, WiFi o Security systems Firewall, IPS, VPN, Antivirus, AntiSpam, Web Filtering, Application Control Excellent troubleshooting skills Outstanding oral communication and presentation skills Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem- solving capabilities. React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. Flexible during times of change Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity Strong commitment and self-driven individual Able to travel as needed.
