Candidates Must Have: EDI Remediation (EDI Functional expertise, ideal with Opentext) SAP MM The EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Technical Analyst plays a crucial role in facilitating seamless electronic communication between business partners by ensuring the effective exchange of structured data. This position involves collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and IT professionals to implement, monitor, and troubleshoot EDI transactions. The EDI Technical Analyst ensures the integrity, security, and efficiency of data transmissions while adhering to industry standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities: EDI Implementation: Collaborate with business and IT teams to analyze EDI requirements for various business processes. Design, develop, and configure EDI solutions to enable efficient data exchange between systems. Coordinate the setup and testing of new EDI transactions with external partners. System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor EDI transaction flow and address any discrepancies or errors promptly. Perform regular system audits to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EDI data transmissions, including error messages and failures. Data Mapping and Transformation: Develop and maintain EDI maps and translations to facilitate data transformation between different formats (e.g., EDIFACT, X12, XML). Ensure that data mapping aligns with business requirements and complies with industry standards. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal teams (such as procurement, logistics, and finance) to understand their EDI needs and provide technical assistance. Communicate effectively with external partners to establish EDI connections, exchange specifications, and resolve connectivity or data-related issues. Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to industry-specific EDI standards, regulations, and data privacy guidelines (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.). Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data during transmission and storage. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of EDI processes, configurations, and changes. Develop user guides and training materials to educate internal teams and partners on EDI processes and best practices. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance EDI processes, streamline workflows, and optimize data exchange. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to EDI and propose innovative solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Certified EDI Professional). Proven experience working with EDI systems, data formats, and communication protocols. Strong understanding of EDI standards such as EDIFACT, X12, and XML. Proficiency in EDI software and tools (e.g., IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Gentran, BizTalk). Solid programming skills in languages like SQL, Python, or Java for data manipulation and scripting. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of security best practices related to EDI and data transmission. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
