Job Title:- Application Security Location:- Dallas, Texas C2c CTH, Visa:- / Only Dallas ,Texas or Tampa, florida hybrid 3 days onsite Job Description:- Area as whole would be considered more as Application security Works in conjunction with application developers working on 900 business applications and total of 1500 developers While he doesnt like the term, the team falls under a CoE on how to create secure code Rather than develop code individually open source with its big vulnerabilities this team and resource need to point in right direction towards secure code Current state: Major issue because open source software, vulnerabilities are known. The components bring advantage and disadvantage new vulnerabilities weekly so hard to keep up - Financial Services Industry experience a plus but not required. - Proficiency with Information Risk Management best practices. Knowledge and Skills Required: - Proven knowledge of technical infrastructure, network, database, systems. How they affect orgs cybersecurity risk - Proven knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practices - Proven knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operations Education, Training and Certification: Bachelors degree or equivocal computer science related experience preferred. CISSP/CISM/CRISC certification or hands-on information security vulnerability testing skills preferred. AS future state: This team assists on how to move from one software package to another software package and engage during process with development team on all of the risk/security vulnerabilities that come with Tech tools: Mainly Java as open source tool Python only use for scripting for running routines Trying to automate what has been traditional manual is focus Folks with Pen Testing background is a HUGE plus Understanding testing of tools and Static code analysis Adding agent to application to ID behavior and potential vulnerabilities Exploitable vulnerabilities and function may not be accessible looking at different methodologies on where to focus attentions Team goal is to assist app dev to get application into production but this team has to secure code.
