Profile : Database Analyst Location : Newark, NJ - Hybrid Work Model Duration : 12+ Months Visa : USC/GC At-a-Glance: Are you ready to build your career by joining a global financial company If so, our client, is hiring a Database Analyst. What Youll Do: Create and maintain databases and objects. Ensure business continuity by performing data maintenance, backup planning, recovery of table spaces and indexes, high availability and business continuation testing, statistic gathering, etc. Assist with resolving batch performance issues. Work with explains, copy, quiesce, recovery, statistics, loads and other online and offline utilities. Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot complex plans, stored procedures, packages, and triggers. Grant and revoke authority to users/groups. Assist developers in database and application tuning for optimal performance. Be able to troubleshoot locks in environment and remove the connection holding the lock. Conduct major and emergency database releases. Work closely with production DBAs and infrastructure teams across the enterprise as needed. Automate database code deployments for continuous integration/development. What Youll Bring: 5 years of experience working with DB2 UDB. In-depth knowledge of database design and construct. Experience maintaining data interfaces with various 3rd party applications. Keen customer focus, relationship-building skills, and the ability to deliver commitments on a timely basis. Strong analytical & mathematical skills, written & spoken communication skills; stored procedure development; LINUX/UNIX Korn scripting, Autosys job management. Development DBA/Modeler with additional skills in Linux, Autosys, Cyberfusion, Jenkins, Bitbucket. Primarily DB2 UDB 11.5. Other RDBMS experience helpful. Ability to work both independently and as a team player. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve problems and make decisions independently.
