Job description Heres the Gist: IT is looking for an energetic professional to join the Data Center and Hosting (DCH) team as an Information Systems Engineer responsible for managing all aspects of an enterprise Data Center Computing (VMWare/VCF)(Win/Linux) and Storage environment (NetApp/Pure/Cohesity) to include deploying, maintaining, and providing operational support for server, storage and support systems within the Data Center environment. The Information Systems Engineer will work closely with the Architecture Team to build out our existing infrastructure, manage our current systems along with troubleshooting problems as they arise. The Day-to-Day: Support all aspects of server administration within the environment (including physical and virtual, on-prem and cloud based) Support, administer and maintain our enterprise data storage solutions. Provide high-level support and technical expertise regarding data center services operations! Detailed documentation of ticket information including symptoms, causes, troubleshooting steps and provide resolutions. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of the data center systems infrastructure. Gather requirements from business users and work with architects and team lead to develop solutions for business requirements. System Administration of vCenter at an enterprise level Monitor and respond to automated alerts to ensure integrity and continued operations of virtual environments, storage, and support systems infrastructure . Triage, troubleshooting, and the resolution of server systems including, software, OS issues, escalation and pulling in other Teams where needed. Knowledge on managing Linux servers and Linux based systems. Knowledge of managing Windows server and Windows based systems Knowledge of managing cloud base servers and storage (Azure) This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements): 5-7 years experience working in data center, virtual environment operations focused. Experience in System Administration of Linux Servers Experience in system Administration of Windows Serves Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities System Administration of VMWare at an enterprise level (EXSi 5.5, 6.5, 7+, VCF) Experience in managing enterprise storage systems (VSAN, NetApp, Pure, Cohesity) Ability to support a wide array of IT data center services. Ability to quickly learn various IT tools and systems. Strong skill and willingness in developing junior administrators. Ability to work and support Client systems in an on-call or after hours On-Call environment. This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations. This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
