Mainframe Developer (ADABAS) Hybrid Sandy, UT (Local candidates will be pref.) No H1B & CPT Virtual Interview Hybrid - Hours will be 12pm-9pm or 1pm-10pm, with occasionally working on Saturday Ideally has ADABAS (Adaptable Database System) is a database management system (DBMS) Mainframe Developer The Mainframe Horizontal production support team supports a large number of diverse applications, providing level-2 and level-3 support services to Compliance, Finance, Referential Data, Trading, and Operations applications. The MF team has an open position for Level-2 support functions, working with the existing horizontal team. Role Description includes: 1. To work as a support level 2 member of the horizontal mainframe support. 2. Understanding the large picture and provide excellent Support to Business Users on Critical Business Issues for Legal, Finance, Regulatory, and ED&S applications 3. To ensure our clients issues are resolved within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements), meeting their expectations of resolution for issues raised 4. Leveraging the available tools within team, to ensure that system and critical incidents are correctly managed, ensuring timely resolution and as well focusing on strategic solution 5. Detailed analysis of new issues and documenting associated fixes, along with training other colleagues in support team. 6. Ability to monitor systems and resolve day to day issues of the batch stream, and report on status of streams as needed. 7. Provide detailed analysis of issues / governance report to senior management. Qualifications External The applicant should have basic understanding of the mainframe environment, including knowledge of JCL. Adabas knowledge is a plus, but not required, while other language knowledge is necessary. Knowledge of distributed platform file structure and basic unix commands are required. The applicant should also have an understanding of the Microsoft office suite to aid in reporting and status functions. Good communications skills is required for both oral and written communications.
