Job Description: A Network Security Analyst 1 ensures the security of information systems and computer networks, protects against cyber threats, monitors network traffic, and identifies vulnerabilities. They investigate security breaches, develop security strategies, and use tools like firewalls and antivirus software. onsite 5 days in Austin. This is a network security analyst position- very junior, between 2-4 years of experience is preferred (candidates will not be considered with less than 2 years experience). This role does have 24/7 on-call rotation and does require on site work 5 days a week in the North Loop area of Austin. They are looking to do onsite interviews as part of this role, so candidates currently in Austin or the surrounding areas are the only ones who will be considered at this time. The documents are attached- the key part here is that they are looking for someone with experience in both Tenable and Nessus vulnerabilities scanning. Those seem to be the only hard technical requirements, therefore, I will only look at candidates who have both in their resumes. Technical Skills: Knowledge of computer networking concepts, protocols, and security methodologies (2 years required). Familiarity with cybersecurity and privacy principles (2 years required). Understanding of cyber threats and vulnerabilities (2 years required). Proficiency in host/network access control mechanisms (2 years required). Experience with system diagnostic tools and fault identification techniques (2 years required). System administration, network, and operating system hardening techniques (2 years required). Knowledge of cyber attack stages (2 years required). Familiarity with operating systems like Unix/Linux, IOS, Android, and Windows (2 years required). Penetration testing principles, tools, and techniques (2 years required). Understanding of an organization's threat environment (2 years required). Skill in conducting vulnerability scans and intrusion detection (2 years required). Proficiency in penetration testing tools and network analysis (2 years required). Application vulnerability assessments (2 years required). Experience with Tenable/Nessus administration, operation, and vulnerability management (3 years preferred). Terms of Service: Start Date: 10/09/2023 End Date: 08/31/2024 Maximum Hours per Candidate: 2080 hours Services may be amended or extended in writing.
