Job Description: Client is looking for UNIX - HP System Administrators for an onsite role in Waltham, MA or Raleigh, NC Duties include but not limited to the following: Under the direction of the Manager, the candidate will be responsible for System Administration and technical Support of an enterprise HP-UX environment running HP-UX 11.11, 11.21, 11.31. The HP-UX environment uses HP Virtualization including vPars. The Candidate will work with application groups. The HP Infrastructure supports SAP and other business applications. The candidate will function as the point of contact between, application users, other support teams, and vendors. Provide on-call, third-level support for the HP-UX server environment. Qualifications: 7-10+ Years of experience as a HP UNIX Systems Administrator. Strong background installing, configuring, performance tuning and troubleshooting on HP. Experience administrating, tuning and use of disk management tools. Strong Shell Scripting and Perl Scripting experience. 7+ yrs of HP-UX Systems Administration experience which includes installation, configuring, performance tuning and troubleshooting on HP-UX Servers running HP-UX 11.11, 11.21, 11.31using HP Virtualization including HPs VSOE, nPARs and vPARs. Experience in administrating, tuning and use of disk management tools with HPs Native Logical Volume Manager disk managers and HP-UXs Filesystem JFS(vxfs) and OnlineJFS. Experience configuring, tuning and supporting HP servers in a clustered environment. Experience with Application/ Middleware Integration for HP-UX for either customer application software working with customer support staff or common off the shelf software. This includes performing performance analysis, and hardware recommendation.
