[email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: Technical Product Owner Location: Onsite at Cincinnati, OH - Need locals Visa: USC, GC, with Linkedin 6 months CTH End Client: Technical Product Owner As a Technical Product Owner for modernization architecture at TQL, you serve as a guide for development and architecture teams to navigate and build technical solutions. You represent the needs and priorities of the organization, by prioritizing / managing the technical backlog, and guide continuous product improvements through feedback from technical stakeholders. Essential Job Functions: Guide the product development team by bridging the gap between business objectives and technical execution. Act as a liaison between stakeholders, business leaders, customers, and the development team to ensure successful delivery of a product or feature. Work with architects and developers to develop and document user stories. Participate in sprint planning to determine the teams objectives for the upcoming sprint. Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that the backlog accurately reflects initiatives and objectives of the architecture team. Proactively identify and track dependencies across teams to improve efficiencies at the product and platform level. Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, story refinements and team retrospectives to ensure the team has a clear understanding of priorities and next steps. Leads highly effective and engaging the sprint review meetings to present the output from the sprint to key stakeholders along with presenting the technical value of the work. Analyze feedback from sprint reviews, and other data such as developer/architect feedback and technical metrics to identify and understand technical needs and incorporate into backlog. Work with the development team to create acceptance criteria and definitions of failures and done minimizing defects and rework. Assist the team on the development of unit tests, test cases and regression tests. Proactively works with architects and dev leads to align sprints and backlog with objectives and strategic initiatives to ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery of functionality. Set personal and team goals and develops action plan to achieve without minimal oversight. Mentor and coach other product owners on technical concepts. Monitor the quality of the teams work product and find successful ways to improve including team rapport, motivation, and mentoring. Monitor personal and team productivity and plan for continuous improvement. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, etc. Certified Scrum Professional Product Owner certification or equivalent preferred. Skills & Abilities: Proven experience as a Product Owner, preferably in a technical or IT-related field. Experience with technical decision-making, such as architecture choices, technology stack selection, and trade-offs. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Solid understanding of software development, architecture, and technology stacks. Proficiency in relevant technical skills such as programming languages, databases, web technologies, and other tools and frameworks. Ability to create comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, flowcharts, and API specifications. Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, etc. Knowledge of popular frameworks or libraries such as React, Angular, etc. An understanding of system architecture principles, including microservices, monoliths, and service-oriented architectures (SOA). Familiarity with various database systems (SQL and NoSQL and their use cases for shaping data-related features and decisions. Knowledge of designing and working with APIs, including RESTful APIs. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitLab, etc.) Familiar with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Knowledge of Azure cloud platform. Proficiency in version control systems like Git. Understanding of test automation frameworks and tools. Knowledge of key quality metrics, such as code coverage and performance testing. Awareness of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, data encryption, and vulnerability assessments. Familiar with analytics tools and services such as Google Analytics. Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog.
