Manage ongoing maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to, installing patches, updates, and security fixes to keep the network up-to-date and secure. Manage and configure switches, wireless access points, routers, and various other network related equipment, to include running cable and fiber. Manage and configure changes to firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, virtual private networks, and the development of security policies and procedures. Provide assistance with the configuration and optimization of routers, switches, and access points to ensure efficient and reliable operations. Provide assistance troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues and outages. Monitor network performance and provide the department with weekly reports, due by Friday each week, providing insights into the health of the network, its capacity, and utilization. Have the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals, understand client requirements, and provide timely updates and reports.
