We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with the ability to "run the show", working with product team closely and guiding and advising engineers as a team lead. Proficient with Python backend development, AWS and Azure (desired) cloud computing primarily, to provide technical design, development, support and evaluation for large-scale Web applications and systems. What you will bring with you: Looking for a senior design lead/ Lead Python/ Tech Lead who will do 80% development and 20% helping out with cross-functional teams/ mentoring others, researching design enhancements, design enhancements, and technical direction. The most important part of this opening is getting the type of resource who can 'run the show' and has demonstrated that type of work in their resume . Any Domain is okay, does not have to be healthcare, but should be complex systems with large team dynamics. Someone who has a track record of making design decisions and research new technology. Much of the new system is not designed yet, so this resource will be critical as things evolve and move to AWS like S3, DynamoDB, etc. *Required Need someone who is vocal and assertive, who can proactively contribute to future technical direction to this in production initiative* Mostly back-end API development of Python open-source frameworks (Django, Flask, etc.) * NO Machine Learning is involved with this project Writing Python code/ writing API's (mostly backend/ API services like Azure Communication Services)* Knowledge of C# or Java very helpful as they move those apps to Python* They are GIT based moving to Azure Integration Services Should know Cloud Formation templates and working with CI/CD DevOps team (currently Azure DevOps but moving to JIRA/ Jenkins) * BFF design pattern is used mostly but its easily learned / not required Need to be familiar with Azure Cloud services (being used now) & also AWS mid to expert level needed (moving to that soon)* Later enhancements will be on Analytics of the data related to this project (nice to have) 7+ years of experience in API development, BFF(Backend for frontend), and similar layers. Expertise in object-oriented & functional programming languages - Python must-have, C# is a plus. Strong knowledge of server-side technologies such as databases, caching, and message brokers. Hands on experience with AWS Experience with no-SQL persistent storages such as Dynamo, S3, etc. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
