Position: Network engineer Location: REMOTE Duration: 6+ Months JOB DESCRIPTION: Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP Mandatory skills are SDWAN, Palo Alto Firewall In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers and printers Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently. Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure. Ability to coordinate and manage projects from design though implementation. Ability to communicate technical information to other technical/non-technical team members. Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls like Palo Alto Troubleshooting problems with existing networks to determine the cause of malfunctions or breakdowns and recommending solutions. Designing and creating new computer networks according to company specifications Analyzing network performance to identify areas for improvement. Experience working on monitoring tools like Solar Winds Working hands on experience on setting up external DNS and assist with certificate management. Providing technical support for network security issues and vulnerabilities, including intrusion detection and prevention mechanisms Installing new network hardware and software, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other equipment Performing risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions to improve security. Managing and troubleshooting the network, including installing new equipment and updating software packages Experience working on Cisco Meraki or Silverpeak and Aruba SD-WAN Devices 8 to 9 years' experience in routing and switching technologies.
