The Senior Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud security solutions within the P (Google Cloud Platform) and OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure). The Senior Cloud Security Engineer works closely with the Solutions Architects and cloud service providers in building and maintaining P/OCI security best practices, security rules, controls, logging, monitoring, and detection of threat anomalies. Job Description You will contribute by: Set up, configure, customize, and implement Google Cloud Security services to business specifications in company environment. Participate and contribute to security planning sessions with cloud operations and development teams. Test the deployment of security products and report any threats or vulnerabilities. Establish and scope recommendations for fixes of any threats and vulnerabilities associated with the deployment of security products. Review existing security standards, policies, and frameworks to ensure robust security measures are in place. Recommend enhancements to existing standards, policies, and frameworks and builds new standards, policies, and frameworks, when necessary. Define security metrics and set up automated security alert features, identify features offered by the cloud service provider, or develop internally. Coordinate with developers, cloud platform engineers, the business, and cloud service providers on security framework design requirements for cloud application services. Travel Required: No Environment Office: Office Temperature (65F to 75F) Open to onsite, hybrid, or remote workers Remote candidates must be within 2 hours of our Edison, NJ office for occasional onsite visits Skills Specialized Knowledge: Experience with P IAM, Cloud IDS, Cloud DNS, Chronicle, Lacework, Kubernetes and container services in P; Experience with managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms like Terraform, Ansible and Packer preferred; Strong understanding of DevOps practices/tools including CI/CD Pipelines, IaC/ARM templates. Special Skills: Strong problem solving, decision-making, and interpersonal / relationship management skills. Ability to work with cross functional teams to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan. Other: Ability to participate in shared on-call rotations in support of 24/7/365 Information Services and Technology operations; P Associate Cloud Engineer Certification preferred; P Professional Cloud Security Engineer preferred. Years Of Experience 5 years of experience is preferred A minimum of 2 years of experience implementing Cloud Security within P is required.
