Need locals to Michigan Role: Software Test Analyst 5 Location: Hybrid(MI) Top Skills & Years of Experience: SAP Financial modules Test Execution and defect tracking Test tracking tools (Jira, Rational, HPALM, or similar QA tracking tools) State of Michigan Treasury Software Test Analyst 5 Description: This position will function as a Test Analyst for Agency Services supporting Treasury within the Department of Technology Management and Budget. Treasury exists to provide quality financial, tax, and administrative services. The state treasurer acts as the principal advisor to the governor on tax and fiscal policy issue. Treasury collects, invest, and disburses all state monies and the Department administers major tax law, and safeguards the credit of the state and its local units of government. The Test Analyst will support test activities as part of the MiTreas project which is migrating the legacy application to an SAP platform. This tester will be prepping data, running batches, and executing test cases in the SAP Business taxes application which will be a major interface with the new MiTreas application. Communicate and interact with the lead test analyst, business members, vendor implementors and DTMB analysts working on the project. Assist team in executing test steps to support the vendor implementors with testing interface data. Run batch programs to support test execution of the interface test scenarios. Attend meetings as well as workshops comprising business and or technical representatives to cover testing topics. Re-test defects and issues. Prepare and maintain relevant test documentation, including test scripts, activity schedules, narrative and written reports, and visual progress charts. Responsible for: time management; reporting and monitoring; risk management; issue management; and quality assurance. Carry out other tasks as agreed with the Test Team Lead. Ability to follow detailed instructions line by line.
