You will report to the Lead Director of Application Development for the EDI and B2B Gateway applications. This role will require collaboration with business representatives, project stakeholders, and our IT partners (internal and external) to identify the needs and goals of initiatives requiring EDI-B2Bs expertise. Extensive knowledge of EDI infrastructure as well as Aetna internal business systems involving Claim Adjudication, Real Time Eligibility, Precertification, ERA, Shared Accumulators is essential. Required Qualifications: -10+ years experience as a business analyst within EDI/HIPPA space Must haves: 6+ years as a business analyst within healthcare (HIPAA, EDI, Claims processing etc who to contact for these transactions) Getting business requirements Writing user stories Mapping specifications 5+ years (recent) source to target mapping experience with batch and real-time HIPAA transactions (40% of the job) hands on X12 transaction knowledge experience + familiarity with other data formats Proven track record of working closely with developers both onshore and offshore Fortune 500 experience highly preferred (large, complex organizations) Nice to haves: IBM Sterling/IBM Transformation Extender or ITX knowledge - this is the mapping software the developers use for EDI SAFe Agile experience. Preferred Qualifications: -Ability to understand and work with complex systems and apply critical thinking skills. -Ability and willingness to think outside of the box and determine creative solutions to business needs/requirements -Proven ability to multi-task while ensuring flexibility to meet deadlines and support team goals -Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize competing interests and communicate risks, issues and decisions appropriately -Experience with Agile Methodology -In-depth understanding of X12 HIPAA Health Care real-time and batch transactions Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience .
