Role: ServiceNow Platform Architect

Preferred location: Atlanta, GA or Hartford, CT

Job Description

More than 8 years of development, configuration, and integration experience in building solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

Architect

Contribute to internal artifacts and deliverables to ensure they meet solution requirements.

Prepare and maintain technical specifications and documents, architecture diagrams, system documentation, and manuals

Ability to develop high level design documents addressing the business, infrastructure, security, support, and operational needs of a solution.

Technical Expertise

Provide functional expertise as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all application suites respective to their product line.

Troubleshoot production and test issues; perform root cause analysis, recommend corrective action, and perform resolution efforts

Assist teams with associated technical and process activities

Standards & Best Practice

Contribute to the technical direction, recommend, and design the solution to leverage the ServiceNow best practices and out of the box functionality

Provide technical and thought leadership in both system integration and application development, while also promoting best practices in these areas

Provide mentorship and project oversight to ServiceNow ITOM developers and implementation specialists

Provide mentorship to developers and platform engineers on technical design standards and best practices.

Oversee developers work, and own overall quality and delivery of development.

Understanding of platform security and integration best practices

Maintain instance integrity & security based on ServiceNow best practices

CMDB & CSDM

Understands CMDB relationships and hierarchy, experience in CMDB Health dashboard configuration and with CMDB remediation including duplicate and stale CI items

Understanding of the Identification and Reconciliation engine

Good knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM data model.

Good knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB CSDM data model.

Scope & Complexity of Environments

Proven success on projects with large-scale deployments; understanding of infra domain life-cycle management.

Experience in designing and implementing complex, multi-tier, multi-tenant, end-to-end solutions in a high availability environment.

Good knowledge of multi data center deployment solutions with disaster recovery procedures and high availability at every layer (network, web servers, middleware, and database/storage)

Preferred certifications: ServiceNow CIS-Discovery, ServiceNow CIS-Service Mapping

Technical knowledge of the following areas :

Java, HTML, JavaScript, LDAP/Active Directory

Working knowledge of configuration management tools, methods, and processes.

Basic knowledge and awareness of various other modules like ITSM, CSM.

Proven experience as a key technical resource leading the development and delivery of CMDB solutions in ServiceNow environments

Expert level proficiency in ITOM /CMDB product line

Code and Develop customized Patterns, Probes and Sensors for Discovery and Service Mapping.

Sound knowledge in CMDB and it operation management

Deliver technical workshops on Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping

Expert understanding on import sets and transform maps, working with external data sources, ServiceNow data mapping

Knowledge on identification, classification rule in CMDB

Articulate the ServiceNow CMDB Classes for Asset and Configuration, their relationships and dependencies

Required Hands on experience with ServiceNow ITOM implementations

Required Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB Architecture

Self-directed, organized, detail-oriented
