Location: Washington DC(REMOTE) Duration: 12 Months Roles and Responsibilities Citrix XenApp 6.5,7.X and related products. Candidate MUST be directly responsible for This job requires direct interface with end customers and all applicants must be professional with high communication skills and documentation skills as well as process oriented. Applications must demonstrate a high willingness to learn a new environment with multiple OS technologies, Citrix versions and various application technologies. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Perform capacity planning, implementation, and support of Citrix Virtualization, NetScaler, and networking infrastructure. Initialize, configure, troubleshoot, and manage Citrix Virtualization and networking infrastructure. Troubleshoot and manage hardware/software products, as well as upgrade and provide solutions to complex problems. Ensure a stable performance environment for complex multi-site infrastructure. Create new Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) templates on Windows Server 2016 with the updated Citrix XenDesktop/provisioning server/Microsoft SQL server components. Collaborate with others to migrate existing VDI virtual machines to XenApp or XenDesktop as applicable, as well as decommission all VDI-related systems. Perform health checks in coordination with Citrix to evaluate performance and configuration recommendations, which may include NetScalers, XenServer OS loads, VDI servers, and other Citrix-related products. Manage and monitor the health of the Citrix environment in conjunction with other disciplines to ensure uptime and performance of systems. Skills & Requirements Citrix certification with virtualization and networking. 7-10 years experience supporting Citrix virtualization infrastructure. 7 years experience supporting Citrix NetScaler 7 years additional experience in supporting, maintaining, configuring, and designing Citrix infrastructure including (but not limited to) XenApp 6.5/7.x, XenDesktop 6.5/7.x, Citrix PVS, Citrix App Layering, Citrix App Publishing, Storefront, and NetScalers. Candidate must have worked on VPN solutions is mandatory.
