Location : Dallas/Austin, TX (Onsite) Duration : C2C Experience : 9+ Years Job Description: Appian BPM Solution Business Analyst This is an onsite position, where we need candidates to relocate themselves to Dallas, TX or Austin, TX. This will be a 4 days working. Please look for Business Analyst candidates who have extensive and hands-on experience in brokerage and Appian skill. If the candidate doesnt have Appian skills, training can be provided. Duties and Responsibilities As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, planning conducting and directing analysis of complex business process and workflows. The Analyst supports project team in building and improve the BPM automation solution for Wealth management, investment, and trading services. The Analyst will analyze legacy application and process, gather business requirements, prepare user cases and technical specifications to ensure the application build is rightly mapped to business expectations. Requirement analysis (50%): Work closely with client Product owner/Business SME to understand existing business process, walkthrough the legacy application and document the functional and non-functional requirements, user journey, pain points and improvement opportunities. Participate in application/data discovery to identify priorities, scope, and requirements including UI, business rules, reports, user group access rules, reference/meta data for the process. Conduct detail mapping of workflow requirements with Appian platform and gap analysis. Write clear and well-structured functional user stories mapped to Appian platform. Schedule and host User story grooming session to ensure acceptance from Client Product Owner/ business SME and development team. Front-end discussion with Client Product owner and business/technical SME to help resolve querier from the development team. Solution Development and Implementation (25%): Liaison with Appian architect/ Development Lead to transition requirement to technical design. Coordinate closely with remote/offshore development team to explain the requirements, clarify queries and to ensure solution is developed per business specifications . Be first line of reviewer to validate UI design, report design and provide appropriate guidance to meet the client Product Owner expectation. Schedule and host the in-sprint demo to client Product Owner/Business SME and share meeting summary clearly documenting the status, feedback & action items. Project Coordination and Delivery (25%): Coordination with scrum manager to maintain the JIRA story board, assist with getting requirement clarification, work artifacts. Collaborate with the Program Manager and Project Manager on roadmap planning and prioritization. Assist with smoke testing before UAT & deployment. Prepare Application run book. Qualifications Overall 8-12 years of work experience as business analyst in BFSI domain 5+ years of business analysis experience in the implementation of Appian BPM solution is required. Holds Appian Analyst certification. Strong experience working with JIRA and Confluence Excellent Oral communication and soft skills ability to engage with business and technical stakeholder to effectively communicate ideas, understand business expectation and front end to clarify any questions. Must possess excellent written - ability to clearly define project requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria. Aware of Agile practices. Good experience with SQL be able to quickly write queries for perform data analysis. Nice to have: Experience with any other BPM solutions such as Pega. Knowledge of Wealth Management, Investment and Trading domain. Business and Data Analysis experience in combination.
