Position: Application Architect

Location: Chicago, IL/Hybrid (Initial Remote)

Responsibilities:

Effectively perform technical tasks to advance the IT roadmap, including the innovative use of solutions that best fit business / project needs.
Manage/Coordinate multiple development team for building features and collaborate with developers on solutions. Develop the underlying architecture, design and framework component needed for application development.
Collaborates with senior leadership to ensure IT strategic investment aligns with business strategy and drives operating results.
Contribute technical expertise to multiple areas/activities and provide guidance on enterprise application integration.
Partner with IT peers ensuring effective design, improvement, testing, and deployment, and support of all IT solutions.
Work with cross platform and matrixed organizations within Enterprise Architecture and Client Solutions to drive technology decisions for the enterprise
Researches and evaluates emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project Development and/or operational support activities. Conduct POC/POT as appropriate.
Advises on the options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts and technology priorities.
Demonstrate ability to use tools such as Visio, Griffy to illustrate flows, data design, and application architecture.
Write technical specifications such as: design documents, SOP & Development Guide and status reports.
Analyse enterprise business context (trends and business strategy) to derive IT strategy and architecture.
Understand and support product and architectural roadmaps, provide financial estimates and impacts.
Implementation of Continues Integration and Continues Deployment while ensuring high availability on production and pre-production systems.
Assist and guide the Project Lead/PM/BA in project coordination
Do RCA for issues/escalation and set remedial action in motion. Monitor and appraise the outcome of the remedial action taken.
