This position also conducts outreach to support the data quality team in its efforts to improve the accuracy of client records and to separate records as needed. Finally, this position supports data quality efforts by identifying data quality issues that arise from data exchange and educating and working with the technical staff from entities doing data exchange about how to resolve these issues. Required Skills Top Skills & Years of Experience: a. 1-3 years of experience in work focused on data exchange of health data (ASCII flat file, HL7, or similar formats). b. 1-3 years of experience with work requiring high level of attention to detail. c. Advanced skill in communicating in writing, orally, electronically and in person. 45% A. Batched flat file data exchange (WIR to Electronic Health Records (EHR) project) A1. Assist in collection and analysis of metrics related to the flat file data exchange processes. A2. Assist in the onboarding and testing of providers and health maintenance organizations (HMO)s to flat file processes such as the WIR-EHR process, HMO query process/membership expansion, and automated batch query process. A3. Complete manual merges created from the flat file processes. A4. Assist with HL7 Data Exchange Onboarding activities as needed. 45% B. Data Exchange Data Quality B1. Work with clinical and technical staff from organizations submitting data to the WIR providers to correct data quality errors in the Wisconsin Immunization Registry B2. Work with the WIR Data Quality Analyst and other staff to support the routine use of WIR data quality tools such as provider report cards, error reporting tool, watch tool, etc.. B3. Educate providers on how to correct data quality errors, as a part of the outreach process. B4. Assist relevant staff with the identification of data quality issues that originate from data exchange messages. 10% C. WIR Unit Support C1. Participated in WIR Unit meetings and project activities. C2. Provide support to other WIR unit areas as directed by the WIR Unit Supervisor.
