Essential Functions: Provide day to day operational support and monitoring to maintain database systems availability. Perform logical/physical data modeling, DBMS installation and patching, system and SQL tuning. Provide technical support required to trouble-shoot application and database incidents. Establish and implement database standards and operational procedures to address data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Work with application support and development teams on solutions discussion, and implementation of enhancements and upgrades. Devise strategies to manage capacity, demand forecasting, application performance analysis, Establish process and standards for securing PII and SPII data. Perform backup and recovery of databases. Develop and implement strategies for disaster recovery and recovery from ransomware. Additional Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Infrastructure and Application architects to develop technology roadmaps. Provide consultation and support of enterprise projects and work closely with Business System Program managers. Minimum Qualifications: Training and Experience: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in Information Systems, Business or related area and four years of progressively responsible experience in database systems design and analysis. Experience in supporting Oracle databases on-prem and cloud; Knowledge and experience with Oracle EBS 12.x, Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle RDBMS 12.x and 19.x, and Oracle application environments (Portal, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, etc.) along with installation, upgrade, and support expertise (use of Oracles TARs and/or Metalink desired). Experience in data warehouse technology and master data management. Desirable Knowledge and Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of the state of the art database concepts and guidelines; comprehensive knowledge of physical storage structures and available access methods; comprehensive knowledge of the essential concepts of DBM plus the planning, directing, and controlling needs for successful implementation; considerable skills in analyzing business problems and determining the needs of users; considerable skill in expressing oneself in both oral and written form; skill in maintaining records and preparing reports. Desired Certification: Oracle Certified professional or Microsoft Azure certification or AWS Certified Associate or Solution Architect or Certification related to Enterprise Database Systems.
