(Hybrid 2-3 per month) Duration: 6+ Months Interview: Video/ Phone Need LinkedIn profile link Must have previous banking experience Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Rancher to join our team. If you are passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation, and have a track record of success in the banking industry Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Utilize Rancher to oversee Kubernetes clusters, ensuring scalability and reliability. Lead AWS to GCP migration efforts, assessing existing infrastructure, developing migration plans, and executing seamless transitions. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and ensure code quality. Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, addressing any issues proactively. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues efficiently. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud and DevOps. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience using Rancher. Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect AND Professional DevOps Engineer certification is required. Extensive experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, and Cloud Pub/Sub. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager. Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, , or Bash. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker. Previous experience working in the banking industry is essential. Knowledge of AWS services and prior experience with AWS to GCP migrations is a significant advantage. Familiarity with banking industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and present technical solutions. Must be based in the New York City, New Jersey, or Connecticut area and available for 2-3 days of in-person work in NYC per month.
