Title - Power BI Report Analyst (Local Only) Remote Must be local Only Location : (Hartselle, AL, Carrollton, GA, Ogdon, UT or Crothersville, IN) Remote but have to travel when needed. Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Intelligence) or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and experience in developing complex reports and dashboards. Strong data analysis and data modeling skills. Proficiency in SQL for data querying and transformation. Knowledge of data visualization best practices. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Knowledge of data governance and security principles is a plus. Key Skills/Abilities : Advanced Power BI Skills: Proficiency in creating complex calculations, custom measures, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas within Power BI. Ability to work with Power Query for data transformation and cleansing. Data Visualization Expertise : Mastery in designing compelling and effective data visualizations, including charts, graphs, heatmaps, and custom visuals. Understanding of color theory and data storytelling. Statistical Analysis: Knowledge of statistical concepts and the ability to perform statistical analysis on data to extract meaningful insights. Data Warehousing: Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, including data modeling, star schemas, and data warehouses such as SQL Server, Azure Data Warehouse, or Snowflake. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Experience in ETL processes and tools, such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or Azure Data Factory, to prepare and load data into Power BI. Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and advanced analytics. Data Security : Understanding of data security best practices, including role-based access control, encryption, and data masking. Project Management : Ability to manage and prioritize multiple reporting projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope. Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues with data sources, queries, and reports.
