Job Title : VMware Admin Location:- Franksville, WI C2c Need someone high level to evaluate their current architecture and come up with a way ideally off the shelf without having to rewrite code to virtualize and containerize installs for their end users and customers. Top 3: 5+ years within VMware, virtualization, containerization Job: Evaluate Eatons single application install process and create solution to virtualize it. Virtualize means make it so that users can log into a server and access software versus having to download it. Onsite: Need to be able to be onsite in Franksville day one but flexibility to be remote during parts of project Description:- This position requires expertise in application virtualization. Someone who can examine single install and single instance application that is typically installed on end users PC and somehow get that installed on a server so that it doesnt need to be individually installed on each users desktop. The candidate will be responsible for ideally selecting off the shelf tools to help the client accomplish this or recommending modifications to the code and architecture or adding capabilities to the server if that is necessary. The goal of this project is to encapsulate software into container and allow software to run on server each time user and customer tries to access it. Prove out solution, document it, give the instructions to customer to get it up and running. The client needs to virtualize this because of how sensitive their product and systems are and how important security is. Devices are networked out in the field and deployed on a protection grid and we have ethernet via fiber connection to that control. The customer wants to protect that device from any sort of outside user, hacker, etc so the communications network that that device is connected to has no connectivity to outside world. This mechanism is under such tight security control. We want the ability to remote desktop into that system because they have to control it through remote machine. If we could virtualize this and have multiple people use software on one server that would eliminate problems.
