Job Description:

Position Summary

The Business Analyst (BA) provides cross-functional leadership and support
for management, deployment, and analysis of enterprise Master Data (ERP)
and  the development and maintenance of data feeds and export solutions to
various reporting databases (DDM/COGNOS, SFDC, Customer Portal, GDR,
etc).  In addition the BA will support development and maintenance of
Operational reporting, analytics, and metrics/KPIs as well as support
Commercial Operations data management functions for price/cost maintenance and
analysis.  Reporting to the PCS Director, IT the BA will work closely with
IT and across the organization to ensure accurate and timely availability of
business data and data interchanges as well as support the enablement and
improvement of BI solutions. This role requires an individual with
self-motivation, excellent facilitation and analytical skills, and a broad
understanding of the key business technology systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Summary Responsibilities All Areas

Work
closely with PCS IT leadership to provide business requirements and
operationalization support for: 

Key
operational and/or commercial improvement projects involving ERP or
integrated system development. 

Required
legacy ERP (A+) enhancements

Solicit,
analyze and document business process activities and business
requirements 

Develop
and document functional requirements for business solutions 

Create
and execute test scripts, capture defects, verify fixes and report
updates 

Support
functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing 

Troubleshoot
issues, identify problems and develop practical solutions 

Support
change management processes 

Draft
required updates to SOPs and develop training materials 

Operational Reporting and Process Improvement 

Works
with Operations functional leadership and IT to define and provide the
most effective and efficient reporting strategy and structure for the
operational and cross functional reporting needs, such as metrics/KPIs,
open order review tools and metrics, supplier performance, and ad hoc
operational data analysis

Provide
data analysis needed to support PPI projects, process improvement
initiatives, and development of new business and IT
processes   

Work
closely with Sr IT Analyst and functional leaders to clearly define user
requirements and assist in determining appropriate application of
technology to address process improvement
initiatives     

Participate
in Operational Leadership meetings and business reviews and provide
required data analysis support for cross functional projects and
initiatives.

Master Data Management

Work
closely with IT and functional business leadership to develop and maintain
data management solutions and data integrity in the PCS ERP as the primary
single point of reference.

Ensure
proper extension of ERP data to integrated applications such as SFDC,
Overdrive, EDI, Customer Portal, etc.

Support
the development of quote to cash data solutions to enable the business
growth of intercompany and supply chain services transaction
models.      

Supports
and enables PCCs BI strategy by ensuring BI and reporting data
sources/applications (COGNOS/DDM, SFDC, Power BI, GDR, etc.) are
maintained and updated as needed to support the reporting and BI needs of
the business.

Serve
as an operational business process and data subject matter expert (SME)
for training, process improvement, and data improvements. .

Develop
and maintain methods for monitoring the key data feed/integration
processes to ensure timely and accurate execution of these processes and
work with IT and functional leadership to quickly resolve associated
problems.              

Work
with IT and Commercial Operations to support company price/cost
maintenance  functions and applications including annual price roll,
nightly ERP pricing jobs, and resolution of vendor rebate discrepancies.    

Support
the Sales and Finance functions with Sales territory and account
alignment/changes

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Ability to think
strategically about business strategies, process, and priorities

Experience transforming
underlying data into functional data sets in order to generate meaningful
insights

Previous experience
accessing, manipulating and interpreting data to inform decision-making.

Advanced skills in data
visualization and analysis tools experience with Power BI or Tableau
preferred. Working with large, multi-dimensional data sets to uncover
meaningful insights

Must be able to work
effectively / multi-task as a member of a Team and in a fast-paced
environment

Advanced knowledge and
experience IT systems including Excel, Cognos/EDW, Infor A+ ERP, DAX, SQL,
DBU and other data management tool sets

Excellent analytical
and teamwork skills, ability to organize and analyze large sets of data
into meaningful and concise reports and propose solutions to management

Must be self-confident,
assertive, and self-motivated with ability to work independently with
minimal supervision
