Position : SAP Basis Consultant with Azure Location: Remote Type of hire: Contract Job Description: Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled SAP Basis Consultant with extensive experience in migrating SAP systems to the Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will lead migration projects, ensuring the successful transfer of SAP landscapes while maintaining high availability, security, and performance Key Responsibilities: Migration Planning and Strategy: Develop migration strategies and project plans tailored to specific SAP environments. Assess current SAP landscapes and create detailed migration roadmaps. Determine Azure resources and services required for successful migrations. 2. SAP System Migration: Perform SAP system migrations to Azure, including system copies, system refreshes, and version upgrades. Configure and optimize Azure infrastructure for SAP workloads. Ensure minimal downtime during migration activities. 3. Azure Infrastructure Setup: Deploy and configure Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), networking, and storage to accommodate SAP systems. Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions on Azure. Optimize Azure resources for cost-effectiveness. 4. SAP System Upgrades and Patching: Plan and execute SAP system upgrades and apply patches as needed during migration. Perform system validations and post-migration testing. 5. Security and Compliance: Implement security measures to protect SAP systems and data during migration. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct security assessments and audits. 6. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in SAP systems running on Azure. Tune and optimize SAP and Azure configurations for optimal performance. 7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, configurations, and results. Generate migration status reports and provide updates to stakeholders. 8. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP administrators, developers, and Azure experts. Share knowledge and expertise through training and documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. Proven experience as a SAP Basis Consultant specializing in SAP migrations to Azure. SAP certification(s) in SAP Basis or related areas. Azure certification(s) such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Strong knowledge of SAP systems, architecture, and administration. Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure. Experience with SAP HANA on Azure is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Project management skills for leading migration projects.
