Duration: 6+ Months Work you will do: We are seeking a Lab Systems System Administrator to contribute to our top pharmaceutical client, working on ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. 21 CFR Part 11 / EU Annex 11) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate. The Lab Systems System Administrator will become an extension of the client team working on Lab Instrument Systems, Empower, LIMS, ELN, and NuGenesis supporting improvement of business processes with technology and provide local functional process and system support. What you will do: In this role, you will work closely with administering supporting setup and maintenance of lab instrument systems including, but not limited to DDPCR instruments, Spectrometers, TOCs, Plate Readers etc. Additionally, you will have the following job responsibilities: The Contractor, Lab Systems System Administrator (Lab Instrument Systems, Empower, LIMS, ELN, NuGenesis) will support improvement of business processes with technology and provide local functional process and system support. Candidates must have a solid understanding of laboratory systems and processes in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Hands on experience administering supporting setup and maintenance of lab instrument systems including, but not limited to DDPCR instruments, Spectrometers, TOCs, Plate Readers etc. is preferred. Strong knowledge in implementation, support, and configuration of enterprise lab systems such as Empower, NuGenesis, LIMS and ELN in a pharmaceutical environment is preferred. This is a power user plus support type of role, with some level of functional understanding of the implemented design, technical configuration, leveraging project and process support documentation and resources. Candidate must be self-directed, be a great team player, and have excellent communication skills to be considered for this role. Preference given to those candidates who have experience in life sciences or FDA regulated industries. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Primary duties/responsibilities: Act as a Systems Administrator, working with the business to understand laboratory systems and processes and requests for enabling appropriate solutions through systems. Understand and support master data governance for laboratory information. Support IQOQPQ testing efforts for lab systems. Support and provide guidance on reporting needs Respond to requests for power user support and be available to address Tier 1 support (process support, master data, user access, user support and other non-technical issues) Maintain current knowledge base of solutions and work with Tier 2 and 3 support sustainment teams to facilitate technical break / fixes Provide Laboratory and Manufacturing Systems best practices, and guidance as needed. Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects and day-to-day requests. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED * Minimum level of education and years of relevant work experience. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field and a minimum of 6 years in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other regulated environment OR equivalent experience and/or education. * Special knowledge or skills needed and/or licenses or certificates required. 3+ years of relevant Laboratory Systems administration experience 3+ years of experience administering Empower, NuGenesis, LabVantage LIMS, LabVantage ELN systems in a pharmaceutical environment. 3+ years of experience administering lab instrument systems. Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong communication and training skills, and patience. Ability to read, understand, and follow complex instructions People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects. Excellent verbal and written communication and skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members. Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
