Thanks for your understanding Disease Surveillance Epidemiology Program - MeCDC This position is to support the requirement gathering and refinement for development projects at DHHS. Initially the focus is on MECDC projects with the plan to expand as needed. Typical duties include: Develop and document a detailed statement of requirements for the proposed alternative recommended in the preliminary analysis report. Perform business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows. Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document items such as database content, structure, application subsystems, and develop data dictionary. Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems. Identify candidate business processes for re-design, prototype potential solutions, provide trade-off information and suggest a recommended course of action. Identify the modifications to the automated processes. Studies and evaluates business problems and operations in order to produce feasibility, scope and objective, and cost benefit reports including cost and time estimates. Analyzes business problems and operations in depth, considering limitations imposed by current automation environment, time requirements, personnel and financial resources, and desired results in order to develop functional requirements for a proposed system including cost and time estimates for subsequent phases Prepare documents of understanding, automation system design plans, and detailed specifications in order to identify system design requirements including cost and time estimates for subsequent phases and facilitate the development and implementation of automation systems Skill 1 Communication Skill 2 Analysis Skill 3 Documentation Required Skill Set/Skill Strong experience in requirement gathering and transferring functional requirements into technical requirements.
