We arent migrating DATA; we are setting up new databases and monitoring and tuning in RDS and PostgreSQL. PostgreSQL is most important skill. I need it in the resume as much as MS SQL. I will need RDS all over the place. We need to see setting up, building, tuning, stored procedures, permissions. The position will be more responsible for the non-data engineering aspects of the Database Engineer. So, keep the Data Engineering Stuff to a minimal. We really want that high level Database engineer to do much more than migrations with RDS. We want the guy that is building the new databases with RDS. Doing all the tuning, monitoring, security of the databases. Candidates having long tenure projects is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Strong DBA skills for PostgreSQL and SQL AWS Experience Experience setting up new databases in the Cloud MUST HAVE: Strong RDS experience.
