Title         : AWS Python Data Engineer

Location : Atlanta, GA [2 Days Onsite][Locals Only]

Type        : 12+ month contract

Job Description:

Extensive experience in system analysis, design, and development.

-         Python Development: Collaborate with software development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines with Python scripts for seamless deployments.

-         Understanding of an Applications Non-Functional Requirements (Performance, Resiliency, Disaster Recovery, Data seeding)

-         AWS Cloud Technologies: Manage AWS resources, including EC2 instances, RDS databases, S3 buckets, etc.

-         Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS services for performance, cost, and security.

-         Microservices and Containers: Good understanding of Docker and microservices on Kubernetes.

-         Documentation and Collaboration: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and teamwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-         Collaborate with engineers across the Digital Innovation teams to create technical designs, develop, test, and solve complex problems that drive the solution from initial concept to production.

-         Think in terms of the big picture and deliver on the details.

-         Work in an engineering-focused, iterative team composed of people with a wide range of skills.

-         Demo your work for colleagues and members of the business team.

-         Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, developers, QA, and other team members to analyze information and functional requirements.

-         Advocate the development process through implementation and ensure the product meets business needs.

-         Manage stakeholder needs & requests while balancing the products roadmap priorities.

-         Strong understanding of Data modeling and ability to grasp cloud solutions architecture.

QUALIFICATIONS

-         Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

-         Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

-         Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

-         AWS certifications are a plus.

CORE SKILLS

-         Databases: SQL (Oracle RDS) and NoSQL(Amazon DynamoDB)

-         Python

-         Apache Spark

-         AWS (EKS, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Glue)

-         Knowledge of GitOps (BitBucket)

GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS (at least one of the below set)

-         Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Jenkins, Terraform, and AWS Cloud formation.

-         Disaster Recovery and Resiliency testing.
