The manager will be responsible for all aspects of data governance, including developing the overall data architecture strategy and creating and maintaining standards and best practices for data provisioning and data integration. The manager will act as the subject matter expert within the organization and must be able to liaise with business teams, technical staff, directors, and product development team to ensure data goals and objectives are met. Job Responsibilities :- Identifies and standardizes the use and governance of data and analytics. Provides data architecture support and expertise to all major enterprise projects Creates value by unlocking and sharing data and information in ways which will spur innovation. Cascades from data strategy into data governance to promote data access, quality, and analytical capability. Governance can include a knowledge worker training program, a data stewardship model, and data standards. Develops and maintains controls on data quality, interoperability, and sources to effectively manage risk associated with the use of data and analytics. Strives to reduce the cost of managing data and increase the value of the data Works with business and IT leaders to identify areas of technical needs for future data science capabilities. Drives the development and deployment of the data and analytics platform. Ensures enterprise data is structured for ease of use Reviews all data/data repositories on a periodic basis and ensures data is properly classified according to use, sensitivity, and importance Audits security precautions to ensure adequate protection is in place Supports the formal authorization for data access Supports the solution architect to provide best solutions to meet projects data needs Identifies opportunities for data alignment and re-use Implements principles, policies, standards, and guidelines for data management Establishes and supports proactive process assessment and formulates preventative measures throughout the organization Job Requirements :- A bachelors degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, business or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the job such as those listed above. 3 years supervisory/management experience 5 plus years of experience in Data & Analytics Advanced analytical skills and knowledge of data integration and data modeling tools Extensive experience with statistical modeling techniques, strong quantitative skills, and an ability to delegate tasks with ease. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, MS Power Query, Power BI, SQL, and MS SQL Server Background in manufacturing & engineering is preferred. 3+ years of experience with ERP systems Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
