Job Title :- Vulnerability Management Lead Job Location :- Chicago, IL (Initial remote ok) Duration : Long Term Contract LinkedIn is Mandatory This role involves recording identified vulnerabilities, regularly collaborating with various teams to remediate vulnerabilities, and maintaining an up-to-date status for all vulnerability reporting. Maintain detailed records of vulnerability assessments and remediation activities. Schedule regularly occurring meetings to meet with system administrators, developers, and other IT teams to develop remediation plans for identified vulnerabilities. Track and prepare reports to provide status on remediation efforts for management and stakeholders on the vulnerabilities and remediation efforts. Evaluate and prioritize vulnerabilities based on their potential impact and likelihood of exploitation. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the business impact of identified vulnerabilities. Follow documented Risk Acceptance process when requested by stakeholders. Review regular scans and assessments of systems, networks, and applications to identify and report vulnerabilities. Utilize vulnerability scanning tools and techniques to identify weaknesses and security gaps. Must possess knowledge of various operating systems, network architecture, and security best practices. Requires familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS). Provide training and awareness programs for staff on best practices related to vulnerability management and security. Ensure that vulnerability management practices align with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Contribute to the development and improvement of vulnerability management policies and procedures. Must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. Analytical mindset and attention to detail. The consultant will also assist on this additional work effort: As a functional consultant, Assist in the POC and implementation for moving issue management module from RSAM to a new tool (e.g. Service Now, Onetrust). Assist in designing the issue management module to capture all IT issues (Not just vulnerability issues), and develop workflows to capture remediations. Enhance the issue management risk categorizes and have a substantial way for categorizing risks (E.g.
