Additional Requirements/Notes: This is a very unique role, we are not looking for mobile app developers, but Kernel/Embedded Systems (OS) Engineers - see JD for specifics Company: Dish - Team: Android TV Responsibilities : Modify and customize Android Network Stack to suit streaming media applications Develop data collection and decoding methods from Qualcomm device chipsets using the Qualcomm ICD Work with Qualcomm log post processing tool (Actix and so on) Work with mobile networking technology (DSS in NR5G; finding DSS specification and integrate into code development) Linux and Android Kernel development (configuration and hardening for interfaces; modular kernels; debugging and network testing) Identify and implement AOSP (Android common kernels or ACKs) for vendor/OEM Incorporate tracing and analytics to ensure optimal performance of deployed code Collaborate on architecture, technology choices, and interactions with other engineering teams such as shared libraries, backend APIs, and core components Qualifications : 7+ years of overall experience Experience with network protocols - IP, routing, switching, unicast/multicast Experience with network troubleshooting - packet sniffing, tracing Experience with OS/Kernel level troubleshooting - Android OS/network stack, Linux OS/network stack Prior experience modifying/working with modified Android versions and troubleshooting such versions Keywords: Colorado |
