The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in data and business analysis, along with analytical and communication skills. A sound business understanding and problem-solving abilities are also desired. You will work with agency and technical personnel to provide architecture, design, configuration, support, consultation services, and technical software project support, focusing on Microsoft Power BI. This position will work with key agency personnel on projects and will be assigned critical project tasks. Requirements: In depth knowledge of DAX, Power Query, Visualizations and Story Telling. Identify business requirements in the context of BI and create data models to transform raw data into relevant insights. Analyze data, provide suggestions and display data in reports using appropriate visuals from Power BI toolkit to aid decision-making. Convert business needs into technical specifications and establish a timeline for job completion. Engage in prototyping, designing, developing, publishing Power BI Reports. Develop Power BI Data models and recommend best practices for report creation and visualizations. Proven experience in quantitative analysis, data modeling, reporting, data warehousing, database architecture. Build reports and automations for internal and external use. Microsoft technology stack experience (SQL Server, SQL Management Studio, SSAS, Azure data platform, Azure Data Factory, Etc.) Experience with source control and process management tools such as MS DevOps. Working knowledge of SOA-based architecture REST/SOAP. Exposure to an Agile Development Methodology would be beneficial. Implement security in reports and dashboard. Troubleshoot reporting issues and tune report performance. Maintains a good knowledge of policies, procedures, and standards as they relate to Management Directives (MDs), Information Technology Bulletins (ITBs), Enterprise memos, Executive Orders, etc. Candidate may be required to coordinate, schedule, organize and conduct meetings, presentations, demonstrations, training and other work-related seminars.
