Provides consultation as technical and system expert on key business systems. Expert knowledge of quality assurance processes and testing methodologies. Expert knowledge of software development life cycle and project life cycle principles, including both Agile and Waterfall. Subject matter expert of all test frameworks, tools, and automation of complex platforms. Insurance domain knowledge strongly preferred. Tools include Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Maven, Eclipse, Cypress, Unified Functional Tester (UFT), SOAP UI, SQL, Java, Azure DevOps The Application Quality Analyst/Engineer-Expert will develop, enhance, and maintain tools/applications for a test automation framework supporting automated testing using a combination of off-the-shelf and custom-built systems. Responsibilities Operate autonomously, broad impact across multiple systems. Seen as an expert in test design and leads testing effort for strategic projects. Leads investigation and evaluation of new testing technologies and products for application within our clients IT environment. Leads efforts to improve solution reliability, performance, and quality assurance best practices and processes. Functions as process change leader. Educates and mentors several roles across the organization. Carry out procedures to ensure that all information technology solutions and services meet company quality standards and user requirements. Establish requirements, evaluate, and recommend test automation tools. Estimate and plan for development of test automation framework. Create automated tests for functional/GUI validation of company products and related components. Ability to grasp business and technical processes analytically/strategically. Provide detailed documentation and training on automation tools/applications developed. Utilize test management tools to document test plans and to report test results and defects. Define processes and standards for implementing test automation. Perform system, integration, functional, data validation, and performance testing as well as facilitate user acceptance testing. Work cross-functionally to assist with problem solving and project plan activities. Respond to inquiries and requests in a timely fashion.
