Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Migration Engineer to lead the migration of on-premises Windows servers to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform for one of our clients based in Naperville. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud migration, Windows server administration, and Azure services, with a focus on ensuring a seamless transition of our infrastructure to the cloud environment. Responsibilities: Assessment and Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess existing on-premises infrastructure and applications, identify migration requirements, and develop a comprehensive migration plan. Azure Migration: Lead the migration process, including provisioning Azure resources, configuring network settings, and ensuring the smooth transfer of data and applications to Azure. Server Administration: Manage Windows servers in the Azure environment, ensuring their performance, security, and reliability. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance standards in the Azure environment, including identity and access management, encryption, and auditing. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring and alerting systems to detect and address performance and availability issues. Troubleshoot and resolve Azure-related problems as they arise. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for migration plans, configurations, and procedures. Automation: Utilize automation tools and scripting to streamline migration and operational tasks. Qualifications: Experience completing minimum of 1-3 on-prem to cloud migrations in Windows environment. Proven experience in migrating Windows servers to Microsoft Azure. Strong knowledge of Azure services and solutions. Proficiency in Windows server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting. Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V or VMware. Experience with network and security configurations in Azure. Understanding of cloud best practices, security, and compliance. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-303, AZ-304) are a plus.
