Database / Data Warehouse Architect Location : Fully Remote Duration : 3-4 months Interview : 1st round with Senior Director of Software Engineering and 2nd round with backend data team and possibly product managers USC & GC Only Job Description : Heres the details for Moodys new Architect role. Its going to cover 2 projects that will be managed and run consecutively. Team size is about 20 with 11 FTEs, 4 Product Managers and 5 3rd party contractors. Hours are standard 9-5 EST. First project will be migrating from Elastic to another solution and will involve heavy Postgres. The 2nd project will be building out a data warehouse internally and AWS Redshift will be heavily used in this process. Possibility of conversion: Yes (Not budgeted, but not being ruled out) Start Date: 11/13 Top 3 skills: Data Modeling, AWS Cloud (Redshift), AWS PostGres, Familiarity of experience with the finance industry (structured finance) Description: Proficiency in data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and best practices. Expertise in data modeling and design, including dimensional modeling and star/snowflake schema design. Ability to design and implement data models that support reporting and analytics needs. Strong knowledge of data integration tools and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Experience with Amazon Redshift and Postgres. Familiarity with Microsoft Data warehousing offerings Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security principles. Programming skills in SQL and familiarity with scripting languages Familiarity with ElasticSearch as migration from ElasticSearch will be required Knowledge of ETL tools like Talend, and dbt preferred Familiarity with Sisence preferred Understanding of big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark can be advantageous.
