Role: Mainframe Developer Type: Contract Location: Tampa FL , Bloomfield CT, Morris Plains NJ (Only Local to these location) Mandatory Skills: COBOL/JCL/DBA - 10+ yrs Java/spring boot 4 yrs Open shift 1yr Agile 2 yrs Secondary : Java and Spring Boot 10 Years Mandate Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and COPYBOOK, ensuring efficient and error-free execution. Collaborate with business analysts and system architects to understand application requirements and design effective solutions. Work with CICS to develop and enhance transaction processing systems and services. Manage and optimize VSAM files, ensuring data integrity and efficient access. Develop and maintain DB2 databases, including writing SQL queries and stored procedures. Work with IMS to design, develop, and maintain hierarchical databases and transaction processing systems. Perform debugging, testing, and quality assurance to ensure the reliability and accuracy of mainframe applications. Monitor application performance and troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly. Provide technical support and work closely with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges. Document code and technical specifications for future reference and training.
