Job Role: Business Intelligence Analyst Job Location: Redmond, WA Onsite from Day 1 Contract role Job Description: The ideal candidate for this role will have: Strong background in Financial, Cost, and Pricing analysis. Strong data analysis skills and experience ensuring data quality. Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel including V-lookups, H-lookups, Macros and Pivot Tables. Knowledge/experience in sourcing or procurement working with services suppliers. Strong customer service orientation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop effective business relationships with supplier and internal Microsoft stakeholders. Ability to effectively engage with business stakeholders to gather/define requirements. Strong presentation skills. Ability to present data visualization and insights in Excel and PowerBI. Solid working knowledge of SQL and data coming from multiple disparate sources Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to understand overarching objectives and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Ability to work effectively with minimal guidance or supervision. Knowledge/experience in Supply Chain Management. Working knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure (Servers, Networking, Storage) or other complex manufacturing. B.S. or Advanced Degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Role requires excellent problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills. An outcome-minded individual that loves financial analysis and cost analysis. The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelors or Advanced Degree in related discipline (Business, Finance, Supply Chain) and relevant industry work experience. This role also requires strong analytical, communication and cross-group collaboration skills and advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Office Tools. Preferences include demonstrated knowledge and experience with complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) and SKUs, Procurement lifecycle processes and operations and working knowledge or experience with PowerBI, SQL and DAX. Responsibilities for this role will include: Perform analysis to measure server, network and services costs. Strong Excel skills and understanding of BOMs and SKUs to ensure accurate pricing. Create tracking of server, server component costs and network hardware costs against budget estimates and predicted costs (actual vs forecast) Maintain database of Supplier rates to provide a benchmark to be used in negotiating new deals Create departmental presentations using PowerPoint, Word, Excel which will be shared with senior management If I missed your call, please drop me an email.
