Participates in system enhancements and responsible for application support. Understands the integrity of development models including the enforcement of standards, policies, and system stewardship principles. Complies with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements including user access and maintenance of key records. Works with external vendors to identify opportunities, new tools, and business process improvements. Ability to work with non-technical end users to interpret and document user requirements and develop functional specifications. Performs System and Unit tests of team application updates and is responsible for project level test plans. Participates and leads teams in code reviews and application analysis to maintain standard coding practices. Participates in system enhancement and operational processes. Responsible for the creation of application support documents used by the overnight support team for critical processes and debugging/coordination of efforts when support issues arise. Develops a partner relationship with clients through continuous business education. Key information areas include service levels, pricing, and support solutions. Manages multiple projects of varied size and scope. Responsible for project tracking and status reporting. Off-hour availability is required as needed. Job Requirements: A bachelors degree or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science is required. 9+ years demonstrated experience in database development on any major RDBMS platform (SQL Server/Oracle/Sybase/DB2/Snowflake) 5+ years experience with an ETL tool (Ab Initio/Informatica preferred) Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices Experience writing Windows batch and Unix shell scripts Strong knowledge of data objects like JSON and XML. Experience in cloud-based platforms like Snowflake, AWS, Azure is desired. Strong knowledge of software development and the system implementation life cycle is a required. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Understanding of the integrity of development models including the enforcement of standards, policies, and system stewardship principles. Ability to develop support materials for applications to expand overall knowledge sharing throughout the group.
