Job Title:- Systems Architect Location:- Tallahassee, FL C2c (Looking local Consultant) Responsibilities: The Department is seeking two (2) experienced full-time on-premises, Systems Architects with expertise in Windows-based systems and cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS and Azure. They will design and implement large-scale, complex systems and applications, as well as a strong understanding of cloud technologies and best practices. 1. Design, build and implement the Departments Windows-based systems and applications (systems and applications) in AWS and Azure environments. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical designs and plans. 3. Develop and maintain technical documentation for systems and applications. 4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to systems and applications. 5. Work with virtualized Windows environment using VMware vCenter. 6. Provide guidance and support to development teams on best practices for designing and building cloud-based applications. 7. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure systems and applications meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. Interviews: If the Department deems it necessary, face- to-face interviews may be conducted as part of the review process. If interviews are conducted, proposed candidates that are located outside of the Tallahassee, Florida area, may be interviewed initially via Microsoft Teams video conferencing; however, a face-to-face interview at the OIT in Tallahassee, Florida, may be required prior to final selection of the Respondent for performance of the services. Education and Skills Matrix Educational Requirements Degree / Date of Graduation University / School Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or seven (7) years equivalent work experience. Mandatory Qualifications Yes or No Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in systems architecture and design. Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance best pratices. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Mandatory Qualifications Years of Experience Expertise in Windows-based systems and applications. Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure and services. Experience with DevOps practice and tools, including automation, configuration management, and monitoring. Development experience with Linux and Windows workloads using cloud technologies with automation including Amazon CloudFormation, OpsWorks, Ansible, Chef, and Docker. Demonstrated experience writing software scripts using languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
