Job Title: SRE Application Monitoring SME Location: Hybrid in this locations ( Woonsocket, RI / Buffalo Grove, IL / Hartford, CT / Richardson, TX / Scottsdale, AZ) Duration: 6+ Months Contract Job description: Required Qualifications Overall 8+ years of professional IT experience 5 years+ experience in leading implantation of Site Reliability Engineering for large and critical systems 3 years+ experience in working with APM tools such as App Dynamics and SPLUNK. AppDynamics certified implementation professional certification. Splunk Core Certified User certification. Strong foundation and expert knowledge in Core Java and J2EE standards. Fluency in programming constructs and working with Spring and Hibernate framework. Understanding of healthcare business is preferred but not required The ability to multi-task and work multiple projects concurrently managing to aggressive deliverable dates. Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives Worked in traditional Infrastructure as well as Cloud based deployment environments Works with a sense of urgency in completing tasks and resolving issues to deliver a quality on time and within budget projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable interacting with business stakeholders and external clients Required Technical Skill Extensive hands-on experience in instrumenting and implementing Business relevant monitoring leveraging AppDynamics, Splunk and other APM technologies. Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring IoC, Spring MVC, Struts, Hibernate, Spring JDBC. Hands-on experience in developing and deploying enterprise applications J2EE middleware stack Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Provide support activities post code deployment as required from business. Database knowledge SQL, table structure, data relationships Experience with scripting languages Java, Python, R is a big plus Associate Performance Analyst and Associate Administrator certifications for AppDynamics(Preferred). Roles and Responsibilities Drive discovery and gap analysis effort for critical production systems towards Site Reliability engineering implementation Ensure monitoring and alerting is in place that provides a holistic view of the system health, as well as the health of the business functionality Gather and analyze system metrics from the various systems and applications to assist in tuning monitors, alerts and fault finding. Explore system metrics from the various systems and applications to aide the data driven analysis and identification of bottlenecks and problematic areas within said systems or applications Partner with and provide guidance to production support, incident management, infrastructure, and application teams in adopting Site Reliability Engineering methodology Transforming requirements into stipulations Develop, test, implement and maintain application software Recommend changes to improve monitoring coverage and effectiveness.
