Cloud Database Administrator/Engineer Opportunity in Racine, WI! $57/hr C2C and USC, Green Card, The role is contract-to-hire so candidates must be able to convert. 5-day-a-week onsite role Job Title: Cloud Database Engineer What is the job: 1. Cloud Architecture and Development: - Design and develop enterprise cloud hosting solutions to support the organizations strategy. - Drive public and hybrid cloud-based proof-of-concept prototypes to assess feasibility and demonstrate technology solutions. 2. Vendor Relationships and Collaboration: - Establish relationships with strategic public and hybrid cloud vendors to acquire knowledge, develop partnerships, and explore architectural solutions. 3. Database Environment Management: - Provide guidance and documentation to the operations team for the daily management and support of SQL Platforms and Services. - Identify, analyze, and resolve complex public and hybrid cloud-based issues. 4. Technical Leadership: - Support application owners, hosting platforms, and other IT groups in troubleshooting and resolving issues. - Provide technical guidance to team members and consultation to business partners on improving service delivery. 5. Infrastructure Support: - Perform cross-functional tasks to support Server, Storage, and Backup needs for various infrastructure platforms. - Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation if needed to resolve critical issues. What will you need: 1. Education and Experience: - Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related expereince - 4+ years of experience supporting SQL Databases in a large environment. - 4+ years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud technologies (AWS and GCP knowledge is a plus). - Working knowledge of scripting and automation tools (Power, Terraform, Perl, UNIX ). 2. Skills and Competencies: - Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. - Experience supporting Azure Cloud and automation technologies. - ITIL certification or knowledge. - Understanding of performance and capacity management and reporting. - Strong networking and storage knowledge (TCP/IP, Gigabit Ethernet, SAN, RAID levels, fiber-channel). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Solid teamwork and people skills. - A thought leader who focuses on continuous improvement of database services and personal development of technical and professional skills in Cloud and Automation.
