QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field. 5 plus years of experience in Database Management / Data Integration. Proficient in Database Management Systems DataStax Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented. Can juggle multiple priorities. Strong analytical, problem solving ability Certifications are a plus PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ansible Automation Experience; able to create, modify, and enhance existing playbooks; Gitlab or Jenkins or other DevOps automation tools Strong DataStax architecture knowledge including conceptual, logical and physical data modeling Work closely with application development project teams to ensure optimal application performance. Optimize DataStax through a number of techniques including but not limited to: indexing, query optimization, database design. In depth knowledge of DataStax Solr search and tuning Proactively monitor database performance, capacity planning and resource consumption. Provide day to day support for databases and database applications. Upgrade and patch DataStax clusters Ensure databases and database objects are backed up according to business requirements, and recovery procedures are tested and documented. Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.
